The Malay Indigo Blue Diamond throw pillow cover is a gorgeous indigo pillow with a diamond design which is hand dyed. This is rare, and natural, hand-dyed pillows hard to fine. It is a true one-of-a-kind piece of art. The technique used is from Laos, and is an ancient, meticulous process. The cotton used for these pillows is hand washed in monsoon rain. It is planted, picked by hand, ginned by hand, and then spun unto yarn by hand on traditional wood and bamboo looms. The indigo dye comes from the kharm plant, which is then fermented in air-tight jars at a set temperature to make the dyes. Indigo dye is believed to be good for the skin. The pillow contains no chemicals or toxic materials.
